THE NOISE WITHIN
And the end of our separation from God
You believe. So why does God feel so distant?
Why, after being baptized… after all the prayers… after all the studying and striving, do you still feel as though you haven’t truly been made a “new creation”? This was me for decades.
This book is about that distance, and the reality that it wasn’t my sin that caused it. It was where that sin comes from. Between every believer and the awesome God we long for stands the natural man: the identity that was built in and of the world and carries the sin nature.
You will learn about the natural man’s operating system, its many mechanisms, and the incessant self-deceptive, self-referential narrative that is “the noise”. As long as he sits in the driver’s seat, we can believe everything and experience almost nothing.
The Noise Within walks honestly through the whole terrain… the ache of separation, the noise that causes it, and the daily surrender Jesus actually asked for; which too many of us were never taught.
About This Book
Although every concept the book offers is grounded in scripture, it isn’t a theology textbook and it isn’t seven steps to anything. It was written over twenty years… not by a pastor or scholar, but by a working man who had to live it to write it. I had always believed in God and wanted to serve Him my entire life, yet I floundered for decades. I would not stop until I found out why. I humbly offer this book as the answer… the ONLY answer… I found.
